It's Really Happening!

According to the dictionary, climate change can be defined as the change in global or regional climate patterns. In particular a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards and attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels. Climate change is real and it's changing/ impacting earth every day. It's a challenge that faces every living being and requires collective measures to fight it back!

What causes climate change? Is it humans or it the way nature changes? According to NRDC,  when the earth's atmosphere energy releases, the planet cools down. On the other hand, when the atmospheric gases prevent heat released by the earth from radiating into space, the planet warms. Both human and natural changes can play a factor in affecting climate change.

According to the World Economic Forum's 2016 Global Risks Report, climate change can be considered one of the most impactful risks communities worldwide will face in the coming deacde. It affects everything from the places we live to the water we drink to the air we breathe. Climate change can make wet areas where there is a lot of water dry, or turn places make hot weather places even hotter. It can also affect air pollution since they are linked with each other. Climate change effects can include rising seas, health risks, warmer oceans, and imperiled ecosystems.

Many people don't take climate change seriously because it might no be affecting their lives at the moment. Many studies show how climate change will eventually change the way we know the earth. So why not take action right away? The burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas for heat and transportation. And the change in the sun's intensity, volcanic eruption, and changes in gas concertation are all reasons why climate change is happening. Climate change is really happening with the hopes that our communities can overcome such a risk before affecting the masses.
